Wow is this place cool. I've been here a day and I'm already planning on swinging by the local real-estate office. Its like Tahoe but better. Hostel Pudu is situated on a hill, overlooking a monsterous mountain lake and the snowcapped Andes Mountains... not a bad sight to wake up to. All of the rooms have the same view. Last night we made a 30 minute trek to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset on the Andes... Unbelievable! Sorry I can't upload the pictures, some other people had their digitals though, so I'll see if I can snag one of thier pics to upload.
The town here reminds me of Switzerland. Plaza San Martin is packed with St. Bernards packing casks of Sherry. You can take your picture with them (for a charge). You can do anything you want here. Skiing, hiking, paragliding, fly fishing, white water rafting, shopping, oooh yeah.. Its also the chocolate capital of Argentina. There´s a store on every block. You can also just hang out by the lake and veg out for the day.
I need to head out with my group for another hike.. We are going to rent a car here on Friday and drive around all of the lakes.
